Inspired, I revisited my coursework and identified powerful words that generate win-win communication. I wish I could have had more time with her … so many questions … but realized that I had just enough conversation to create a turning point in my training. So grateful to have had this memorable opportunity. I have since done just that and added all the various components of diplomacy to my training curriculum. Albright emphasized that diplomacy is not just for diplomats it should be the rule in the workplace and in every facet of our life. Ultimately her comment readjusted my mindset and made me go deeper, for a more complete solution. I responded, of course but it started me thinking. This was part of what she brought to the world.įor instance when I shared my business card with her at the beginning of our “walk and talk” conversation after lunch, she looked at it for a moment and then asked if I covered the vital role of diplomacy in my corporate training. However her stance to the world always felt well over 6-foot tall, and she serves as a lesson to all of us to let nothing stop us from feeling and being powerful! Just use the right attitude, words, and approach to find a diplomatic resolution to every situation. Albright made my 5 foot 2 inches (157 cm) height feel TALL. She was the first woman to serve the position of Secretary of State in the U.S.Īt 4 foot 10 inches (147 cm), Ms. I had the honor of meeting Madeleine Albright several years ago at a Women’s History Month event in Chicago following her reign as Secretary of State during the Clinton administration. My deepest sympathies go out to the family and to the world for the loss of an inspirational leader and role model. I'm writing this post in memory of Madeleine Albright, former UN Ambassador (1993 to 1997) and first woman Secretary of State (1997 to 2001). A cloud RDS solution (which may or may not work right with O365/M365 features).A cloud VDI solution - joined to Azure AD - with a hosted file server joined to Azure AD.Ultimately, you need to do either of these: The big problem with QuickBooks is you NEED to keep the QuickBooks client local to the database file and the database manager. How would you build and most importantly price a cloud quickbooks? I don't know if it should be remote app or a full virtual desktop? Reports saved out of quickbooks would go into the sharepoint document library. We need multi location / multi user access with MFA and Quickbooks Online is not the answer. Having Quickbooks running in host mode on one of the desktops and then saving the backup files to OneDrive / SharePoint is not the solution I am looking for. I would like to keep it in the Microsoft / Azure family. Assuming the customer has O365 business premium licensing they have sharepoint online as their file server, but what about quickbooks. I don't want to just forward the business to some quickbooks hosting company but want to keep that revenue. We want to dump local servers and migrate clients to cloud solutions. Their external CPA will have external access via Remote Web Workplace to do some reconciliation or other minor quickbooks work. Oh, a small reminder of the fact that commissions are currently CLOSED.A typical customer of ours is 2 or 3 people using an on prem server with the Quickbooks database manager running on the server for multi user mode. Please do not note me about it, you'll be redirected to this journal anyways. If you have any further questions, please post them under this journal. Sorry for that, I'll design and price a small one as soon as I finish all commissions from my current list. Simply because I don't want people to think that it'll look exactly the same as the big one. This means I need to design a new pattern for it and I won't be accepting small Cloudjumper commissions until I make an example of it. I know I already priced it at $120 but I realised that resizing it to 6-10 inches is almost impossible. Depending on this auctions results, I may or may not put this plush in my commission info once again (with higher price of course).Īnother problem is a small Cloudjumper plush. Cloudjumper plush will be available through some special events, most likely ebay auctions. Though, it doesn't mean I won't be doing this plushie. Summarizing all the time and effort this plush should cost about $500-$600.īecause I don't want to say "guys look, this bby will cost twice more next time I open commissions~", I won't be accepting this plushie commission anymore (at least not now). It needs a lot of hand sewing - horn, head plates, all back spikes, claws, wing claws and third tail fin. My Cloudjumper plush is 15 inches tall and costs $250 ($280 with wires) BUT it has 4 huge wings (huge wings = a lot of minky) having a total wingspan of 55 inches. It needs some hand sewing because of mane, tail and ears (+horn and/or wings if unicorn, pegasus or alicorn). Basic body shape is pretty much te same for every mare pony. Average 15-17 inches pony plush costs $300-$500 depending on design. Because I can't really think about any other plushie which is regularly made by at least a few artists this example will be based on pony plushies prices. It's still at least twice cheaper than average price of a large, complex plushie. People liked it so I priced it and put in my commission info. It was my first commission so I decided to make something impressive for a really cheap price ($150 is cheap as hell). I really appreciate the fact that people love my Cloudjumper so much. Because a lot of people asked about it I feel like I need to explain a few things about this plush. So, when it comes to Chrome Remote Desktop or any other application actually, you have to ask yourself if it’s a good option or if the other apps are better for you. Get an RDP ServerĪs you can see, there is already a whole ecosystem of tools and apps created around remote desktop connections. Take your desktop on the go to all the major cities in the US, Europe, and Asia. Reliable, high-performance RDP servers with 99.95 uptime. Most 3rd party apps also support these protocols, and there are also Linux-native applications you can use, like Remmina. Other applications use RDP and build on it to offer more advanced remote services, like TeamViewer or SplashTop.įor non-Windows operating systems, like Linux or Mac, other protocols, like VNC, or XRDP, are the open-source recreation of Microsoft’s RDP. It usually comes pre-installed with Windows, so chances are you can use it without any extra steps. For computers running Windows, the most popular method is using the Microsoft-native Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) using an application called Remote Desktop Connection. Using a remote desktop will feel utterly familiar because it will be just like using your own - it’s like you’ll be their OS desktop from your monitor.īefore Google came up with Chrome Remote Desktop, there were already a lot of applications and protocols for setting up a remote desktop connection. However, they’re clearly more advanced and not a good choice for average users. Of course, it’s not the only way some protocols, like SSH, use the command-line interface (like the Linux terminal or the Command Prompt in Windows) to get the job done. Ī remote desktop connection is a way to access a computer that’s not physically in front of you. If you’re short on time, you can skip ahead to read about the advantages of Chrome Remote Desktop. So, I’ll briefly discuss remote desktop connections and some popular applications and protocols to give you a better context. 10.3 Can I connect to a Linux VPS using Chrome Remote Desktop? Maximum juice yield of 64.6 % extraction efficiency of 68.2 % and corresponding extraction loss of 7.05 % respectively were obtained from the 16 slice lengths orange fruit. The juice yield, extraction loss and extraction efficiency were determined by standard formula and methods. The fruits were washed and weights (1 kg, 1.5kg and 2 kg respectively) of fruit slice (8 and 16 slices) were then processed using the extractor to extract the juice. I designed, constructed and evaluated the performance of the extractor in the laboratory using orange fruits. These products are essential for human and animal growth, aid metabolic activities and improve health standards. Incidentally, there is an increasing demand for fruits juices among people of all age groups due to the vitamins, mineral and fiber contents. Several varieties of juicy fruits are available in abundant quantities in many parts of Nigeria, most especially during the harvesting seasons. This skin can also be used in manufacturing of sandals and belts. The maximum deformation of the prototype to be 4.05x 10-5 mm and stress on the prototype while peeling the jackfruit is given by 5.75 x 105 N/m2.The waste skin can now be used as manure in agriculture. In this work stage-I is designed and analyzed its structural stability in Ansys 18.1 and a prototype is developed. Thus the fruits are separated from the thick outer surface in a tray kept below. The stem is in the shape of a bell and so that the fruits don’t get damaged much. Now the cylindrical blade is pushed down slowly and the fruits around the stem are cut. The skinless jackfruit is made to rotate by means of motor. In this blade a sliding attachment is given so that it can slide up and down by means of human power. The second stage consists of a semi cylindrical blade which is attached at the top of jackfruit below the motor. The fruit is now ready for the second stage where the stem of the fruit is taken out from it. In the first section the outer skin of the jackfruit is peeled using a movable blade which is attached with a spring which proceeds up and down by means of rotation from the motor. The main objective of this project is to construct an economical machine to reduce human efforts in extracting the fruits from the stem of a jackfruit. This machine is devised to extract the fruits from a jackfruit in a better way without involving heavy human work. Many researchers have developed peeling machines for fruits. The removal of the fruits from its shell is a very much effort consuming process. Jackfruit is a fruit with thicker outer skin and a hard shell. Many sous-chefs get to their position via promotion, after training and experience in the culinary profession. They must also ensure safety precautions and sanitary provisions are taken to ensure a safe and clean working environment. Sous-chefs need to be responsive and have the ability to improvise when a problem arises while the restaurant is busy. They are responsible for inventory, product and supply rotation, and menu tasting. Under the oversight of the sous-chef, downtime should be used for prepping, cleaning and other kitchen duties. Incentive programs are commonly used among sous-chefs to encourage their staff to abide by rules and regulations, and motivate them to work efficiently at all times. Sous-chefs are in charge of disciplining any kitchen staff who may have acted against restaurant policy. They must thoroughly understand how to use and troubleshoot all appliances and cooking instruments in the event of a malfunctioning cooking device. Sous-chefs are in charge of making sure all kitchen equipment is in working order. Sous-chefs must plan and direct how the food is presented on the plate, keep their kitchen staff in order, train new chefs, create the work schedule, and make sure all the food that goes to customers is of the best quality to maintain high standards. The sous-chef has many responsibilities, because the executive chef has a more overarching role. In large kitchens, sous-chefs generally manage members of the kitchen on behalf of the head chef, who is usually preoccupied with other tasks. A sous-chef is a chef who is second in command of a kitchen – the person ranking directly before the head chef. Grapes, as a source of antioxidants, have anti-inflammatory properties that are likely to be a factor in this. According to research, red wine consumption has been linked to a lower risk of obesity and high cholesterol. Overall, when it comes to health benefits, red wine actually performs better than white wine. It’s clear that beer has significantly less sugar than wine when compared to a can of beer. Beer, in my opinion, is healthier for the gut than many other beverages, including wine. There has been much debate about which is the healthiest alcoholic beverage for years, but new research shows surprising results. If you don’t drink in moderation, you can drink a half-pint of beer every day for 50 percent of the energy of a glass of wine. Beer contains more calories per serving than any other alcoholic beverage. Wine has been shown to increase blood flow more quickly than beer in a study conducted by the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Centre. A glass of wine contains approximately 120 calories, while a bottle of beer contains approximately 55 to 300 calories. People who want to consume alcohol without blowing their diets should consider combining vodka soda with lime, champagne, or bloody marys. Because beer is typically high in protein, fiber, and B vitamins, it is frequently superior to wine. A 175 ml glass of 123.5 % ABV wine contains approximately 133kcal. In terms of alcohol calories, a pint of beer has 50% more calories than a glass of wine.Ī five-percent alcohol by volume (ABV) pint of beer has 239kcals, which is roughly the same amount as a Mars bar. When making a wine spritzer, half a glass of wine and half a club soda can be combined. If you consume light beers, you will be able to reduce your carbs in half while consuming fewer calories. Resveratrol, a component of red wine, is a resveratrol-rich substance. One ounce of red wine contains about 1 gram of carbohydrates, while one ounce of white wine contains roughly 2 grams. Alcohol consumption, in general, has a negative relationship with weight gain because of the excessive amount of empty calories consumed, specifically carbohydrates. The average serving of wine contains approximately 120 calories, whereas the average serving of beer contains approximately 55 calories. There are no nutrition facts for wine bottles. In this article, we will discuss how many calories are in beer and wine, the differences between them, and the health implications of drinking these beverages. Wine, on the other hand, is typically less caloric than beer, but again, the caloric content can vary depending on the type and ABV of the wine. Beer generally contains more calories than wine, but the calories in each can depend on the ABV (alcohol by volume) and the type of beer itself. Beer and wine are both popular alcoholic drinks that are consumed by people all over the world, but how many calories are actually in these drinks? Beer and wine can vary in caloric content depending on the type and size of the drink. |
